Dropper Posts - Choosing the correct size.

Before you drop some serious dosh on a fancy new dropper post, there's a few basic things you need to know to make sure you are buying the correct size post with the right amount of travel. What we're aiming for is a post that is at the correct height for you at maximum extension and is nice and out of the way when you slam it down. There's nothing more frustrating than a dropper post that puts the seat too high at maximum extension requiring you to try and push the post down a tiny bit to get the right height while also dealing with upcoming hairy terrain. As a rule of thumb, it is better to buy a shorter post with less travel that will comfortably fit in your frames seat tube as you can always lift the post higher up in the frame to achieve a comfortable maximum extension ride height.
